Newtown Linford Gardening Club

is holding its annual celebrity evening on Tuesday October 24th at 7.30pm in the village hall.

Their celebrity speaker this year is the renowned horticultural journalist
Helen Yemm
and the subject of her talk is
Moving Heaven and Earth - a survivor's tale

During her long and varied career, Helen has been a lecturer, a TV presenter, an author of several books on horticultural subjects, but primarily now she is the gardening correspondent of the Daily Telegraph, a position she has held for many years. Those of you who read the Daily Telegraph will be well aware of her work and of the high level of esteem she merits in the world of gardening.

They are very fortunate to be able to welcome her to our village and, as in previous years they invite members of other gardening clubs and interested visitors to join us on this occasion.

Tickets (£10 each)for the event can be obtained from the secretary
at 32 Groby Lane, Newtown Linford. Leicester LE6 0HH or by ringing us on 01530 242452
or by email at 32couling@gmail.com
